My Dogs

Below are my dogs, both past and present and a little bit about them. Each dog that has been in my life has taught me something, and lead me to be a better dog trainer.

Kávé

Akekal’s Wicked Cold Brew FCAT TKA VSWB FITS DJ

Kávé is a 3yr old Hungarian Mudi. I got him from his breeder in 2021, and he currently competes primarily in NADD dock diving (PB 16’) and AKC FastCAT (PB 7.48 seconds). He is often my demo dog in virtual courses and live Zoom classes!

Hoss (2009-2023)

Craven’s Hint Of Something Special TN-N VHMA NTD

Hoss was the son of my other dogs, Magnum and Avalon. He lived to be 14 years old. He dabbled in agility when he was younger, but in his older years enjoyed spending his days taking naps and eating treats. Nicknamed “Bear Dog” he brought a lot of joy into my life with his silly antics and sweet brown eyes.

Avalon (2007-2022)

My Girl Avalon

Avalon lived a great 14 years and 11 months! She was a small girl at 50lbs and everyone always thought she was a puppy. She taught me patience as she wasn’t socialized as a puppy and had lived in a pen outdoors until I got her at 5 months old. Because of this, it often took more time to be able to teach her certain things and she was nervous in new situations. But, she had the sweetest temperament and LOVED food (as Labs do).

Magnum (2007-2020)

Craven’s Black Magnum NAJ NAC TG-N WV-O TN-O EJC NTD

Magnum was my “heart dog”. He was my first AKC purebred dog and my first dog sport dog. He gave me his all every single time. He was the best dog I could’ve had to get me into dog sports and even further into dog training. He was often my guinea pig for new training ideas that I’d read about, and he loved it simply because he was getting to spend time with me. He is absolutely a dog that if I could’ve cloned him, and be guaranteed the exact same temperament, I would do it again and again.

Blackie (2000-2010)

Blackie Jazz Craven

Blackie was my very first dog, gifted to me by my grandfather when I was 5 years old. He endured so much (I remember tying him to my wagon and trying to get him to pull it as I was obsessed with sled dogs at the time), but was nothing but the sweetest. He sparked my love of dogs, and my desire to get into dog training. I am forever grateful to have had him as my first dog and always cherish the memories I have of him.
